Τραγωδία στο ΤΕΞΑΣ - Τρένο παρέσυρε εξέδρα την ώρα της παρέλασης που μετέφερε βετεράνους πολέμου μαζί με τις γυναίκες τους

Όλα συνέβησαν κατά τη διάρκεια της παρέλασης για την ετήσια εκδήλωση προς τιμήν των βετεράνων πολέμου, όταν οι δύο εξέδρες που μετέφεραν 24 βετεράνους πολέμου και τις συζύγους τους, περνούσαν από σιδηροδρομική διάβαση κι εκείνη την ώρα περνούσε το τρένο, έξω από το Μίντλαντ του Τέξας.

Το δυστύχημα είχε αποτέλεσμα να σκοτωθούν τέσσερις άνθρωποι και άλλοι 17 να τραυματιστούν, όταν χτυπήθηκε από τρένο η ρυμουλκούμενη εξέδρα παρέλασης, πάνω στην οποία βρίσκονταν βετεράνοι στρατιωτικοί των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών.

Σύμφωνα με τοπικά μέσα ενημέρωσης, 10 από τους τραυματίες νοσηλεύονται σε κρίσιμη κατάσταση.
